PURPOSE

Users’ personal data are processed for the following purposes:

a) To answer enquiries made by the user.

b) To manage and process donations made by the user to the Foundation.

c) To manage and process the participation of researchers in the post-doctoral grants programme.

d) To manage and process the participation of candidates in the contests announced and/or organized by the Foundation.

The data will be preserved for the length of time of the relationship with the user, or until the user requests its cancellation. At the same time, legal obligations for tax purposes and money laundering will be taken into consideration.

LEGITIMATION

The legal basis for data processing is the legitimate interest to provide the service requested. In particular, the FOT has the following legitimate basis to process personal data:

Legitimate and contractual interests

In order to manage the candidacy of the researcher in the post-doctoral grants programme, and the candidacies of participants in events organized and/or announced by the Foundation, and to answer enquiries made by users.

Legal obligations

To preserve the documentation as stipulated in money laundering prevention regulations, and for tax purposes.

Consent

In order to send information on activities undertaken by the entity.

RECIPIENTS

Personal data of the party concerned may be transferred/communicated to the following recipients:

– Public Administrations and Organizations when required by regulations concerning tax, labour, Social Security, or any other applicable regulations.

– Employees of the Foundation involved in data processing

– Members forming part of the Jury who assess the merits of participants in the applications for grants and/or contests, organized and/or managed by the Foundation.

RIGHTS OF USERS

Right of access: Users have the right to obtain confirmation on the use and processing of their corresponding personal data, and to access their personal data.

Right of rectification: Users have the right to ask for the rectification of their personal data in the event that they are inaccurate, or incomplete.

Right of erasure/Right to be forgotten: Users may ask for their personal data to be suppressed when, among other reasons, their data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were provided.

Right of limitation: Users have the right to ask for restriction of data processing, so that the FOT will only preserve them to pursue or defend claims.

Right of portability: Users may request that their automated personal details be transferred or assigned to any other person they indicate, in a structured commonly used and machine-readable format.

Right to objection: Users may oppose their personal data from being subject to processing. In this case, data will no longer be processed, except for legitimate, imperative reasons or in order to pursue or defend possible claims.

The interested parties may exercise their rights by writing to the party responsible for the file via the contact details above. They should indicate the subject as “EXERCISE OF DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS”.

To process the request, they should provide proof of identity.

We also inform you of your right to present a claim to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
