The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya agreed to award the Creu de Sant Jordi in the 2017 edition to several personalities and entities, among them the OLGA TORRES FOUNDATION.

This award is one of the highest recognitions granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya to distinguish natural or legal persons who, due to their merits, have rendered outstanding service to Catalonia.

The ceremony for the awarding of the Creus de Sant Jordi took place on 3 May 2017 at the Palau de la Generalitat.
