The FOT awarded with the Sant Jordi Cross 2017

The President of the Generalitat presents the award to the President of the FOT.

The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya agreed to award the Creu de Sant Jordi in the 2017 edition to several personalities and entities, among them the OLGA TORRES FOUNDATION.

This award is one of the highest recognitions granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya to distinguish natural or legal persons who, due to their merits, have rendered outstanding service to Catalonia.

The concession is based on the following reasons:

“For its constant dedication to research into cancer and its relationship with immunological disorders. The aim of the organisation is to promote high-level scientific, technological and social research within the framework of universities, research centres and specialised institutes through the direct funding of specific cancer analysis and treatment projects related to immune-mediated diseases”.

The ceremony for the awarding of the Creus de Sant Jordi took place on 3 May 2017 at the Palau de la Generalitat.
