On May 3rd, the 12th edition of the Olga Torres Foundation’s Postdoctoral Colon Cancer Research Grants Award Ceremony took place in the Auditorium of Parc Taul\u00ed in Sabadell, with the support and collaboration of the Parc Taul\u00ed Health Corporation, the Parc Taul\u00ed Foundation and the Academy of Medical and Health Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.

During the event, the researchers gave a brief presentation of their respective projects, and the keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Llu\u00eds A. Hidalgo, Coordinator of the Colorectal Surgery Unit of the Hospital de Matar\u00f3 and President of the Spanish Association of Major Outpatient Surgery, gave the keynote lecture on the subject: \u201cIs non-surgical treatment of rectal cancer possible? <\/strong>.

In their speeches, the representatives of the organising bodies and authorities stressed the importance of research, which is key to continuing to improve: both the detection and the treatment and monitoring of the disease. At the end of the event, the attendees shared refreshments and celebrated the recent award of the Sant Jordi Cross by the Catalan Government in recognition of the Foundation’s work in promoting research in the field of colorectal cancer.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
