Medical doctor. Professor at the \u201cUniversidad de Barcelona\u201d. Dr Valls is director of a women\u00b4s program on health and quality of life at the CAPS (Centro de An\u00e1lisis y Programas Sanitarios).<\/p>

Dr Vall\u00b4s research activity focuses on stress management, menopause and pain.<\/p>

Her activity in the field of scientific dissemination is significant. She is the managing editor of a women\u00b4s magazine since 1996 on health issues (MYS mys.matriz.net). Dr Valls has given several lectures and presentations, one of the most important ones being the Congress on Women, Smoking and Health, of which she was director. Dr Valls has edited several books and is currently director of the book collection \u201cHealth and Quality of Lige\u201d of \u201cCirculo de Lectores\u201d (an association providing selected reading materials).<\/p>

Dr Valls is a member of several international and national societies: Endocrinology and Nutrition, Women\u00b4s Health & Gender-Based Medicine Society, \u201cSociedad de Medicina Interna y de Endocrinolog\u00eda y Nutrici\u00f3on Catalana y Espa\u00f1ola\u201d and the Network for Research in Gender and Health (RISG).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
